Brookfield Zoo, also known as the Chicago Zoological Park, is a zoo located in the Chicago suburb of Brookfield, Illinois. It houses around 450 species of animals in an area of 216 acres.

The Chicago Park District is the oldest and one of the largest park districts in the United States. As of 2016, there are over 580 parks included in the Chicago Park District as well as 31 beaches, two botanic conservatories, a zoo, and 11 museums.

The Bobolink Meadow is an actively managed Chicago Park District Nature Area in Jackson Park on Chicago’s South Side.

Lincoln Park Conservatory has Thousands of plants, from tropical species to seasonal flowers, in a glass-domed structure.

Northerly Island is a 91-acre (370,000 m2) man-made peninsula along Chicago’s lakefront. The site of the Adler Planetarium, Northerly Island connects to the mainland through a narrow isthmus along Solidarity Drive dominated by Neoclassical sculptures of Ko?ciuszko, Havli?ek and Copernicus. With the demolition of Meigs Field Airport, it is now a part of the Museum Campus and has been CONVERTED into parkland.
